November Rose Bowl

So it was another Rose Bowl this month and I shared a spot with the lovely Shauna Jane from Night After Night.

I lucked out and sold this Cosine Crop-Top, a Repose original, to the beautiful Cassandra... these sell out right when I make them so I gotta work to keep them in stock.

My best customers!!! Erica , Alysha, and Natalie... <3 these girls.

Hey it's Shauna and her 'lil sis, Sam, from It's Mashed Potato Time
!!

Kelsey from The Living Color looked great in this dress from Night After Night.

I always run into stylist Valerie Laven-Cooper, and she brought her nephew Rosie this time.

Sakina was so cute, this tiny studded denim vest almost swallowed her up, but she loved it.

Amanda Gilbert from Style Sight loved my stuff, and I had to get a picture of her great jeans.

Buyers like Ayaka from Japan make the Rose Bowl so lucrative for us independent vendors!!

Jeska and her family are at the Rose Bowl every month... she was excited about her destroyed dolls.

It's me Niky Lee saying until next time...

Good News, Bad News

Unfortunately the bad news seems more bad than the good good, but that bike path's gonna run right by my house back home, so it'll probably affect me more directly!!

Too Hot for Etsy

Ok there are Etsy photos that often show a little too much skin in the wrong place, but what about Louise49, where each item is sexualized to the point that you don't know what you're buying.

Yes, obviously the "ship captain's hat" is for sale here.

Think you can't sexualize a flannel shirt? Think again:

How do you do?

I mean really, the shorts aren't for sale, it's the shirt, and honestly I'm disappointed that women have bought 837 items instead of clicking away immediately for the decency of their gender.

Now this one is special. Admittedly I love the all-wood dock background, but what's for sale? What Louise49 calls a "vintage 80's American flag".

Duh if you're gonna post a t-shirt you gotta model them the sluttiest way possible:
Those poor girls... shatting against a wall for no reason.

She or he (I refuse to believe it's a woman, but maybe that's just the optimist in me, not believing that she would betray her own gender) makes them wear these slutto jean shorts with the waistband cut off.

Nice wall socket dude.

"Yea yea honey hop up on there but keep one foot on the ground so you don't break my heater"

You can have this leotard for only $80 and yes that is the model's junk stretching it to the max... ehhh it look like she got 3 butt cheeks

Jack & Jill: Must See

I know comic gold when I see it.

It registered a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.

One reviewer at getthebigpicture.net says "If you thought Zookeeper looked bad, I don't think you've seen anything yet." But Zookeeper looked really good. Didn't the gorilla do "The Macarena" in that?

Murmuration

Two girls in Ireland capture thousands of birds flying in a formation so large neither they nor us can comprehend it...a murmuration... higher power indeed.

Date with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs... in my bedroom trying to pass out with a 40

I luv Yeah Yeah Yeahs' live DVD Tell Me What Rockers to Swallow from way back in 2004. At that point, you hadn't seen a rock band dance on stage since the 80's, and it was shocking to see Karen all coked up rolling around on the floor. She had this underdog hero thing that made her the Chrissie Hynde of our generation. O and she smiles smiles big it's like goodbye 90's.

I love Half Japanese!

I love the spirit of punk in the 80's, when many musicians didn't concern themselves with typical hang-up's like talent, polish, or virtuosity. They weren't trying to beat other bands with musicianship, they figured it's good enough if it turns them on. Those emotional responses to their own playing are the only truth musicians can grasp, and it has nothing to do with formal training. So here's my first embedded audio post, enjoy!!
